Last updated: 26 October 2026
This page explains how to delete your account on AreaScore.ca and in the AreaScore mobile app, which are run by AreaScore Inc. You do not need to have the app installed to delete your account.
Option 1: Delete it yourself
On the website
- Sign in at areascore.ca.
- Go to Settings (open your profile menu, then choose Settings).
- At the bottom of the page, under Delete Account, choose Delete Account and confirm.
- We email you a confirmation link. Open it to finish deleting your account.
In the mobile app
- Open the AreaScore app and sign in.
- Go to Settings, then Account.
- Choose Delete Account and confirm.
- Open the confirmation link we email you.
If the button is turned off, something has to be done first:
- You have an active subscription. Cancel it under Settings, then Billing, and try again.
- You are the only owner of an organization. Make someone else an owner, or delete the organization, and try again.
Option 2: Ask us to delete it
If you can't sign in or prefer that we do it, email [email protected] from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours. We complete the deletion within 30 days and tell you when it's done.
What we delete
When your account is deleted, we permanently delete:
- Your name, email address, password hash, and sign-in methods (including passkeys and two-factor settings)
- Your sign-in sessions
- Your profile photo
- Places you saved and the priority weights you saved
- Reviews and comments you posted, and reports you made about content
- Your organization memberships and pending invitations
- Your referral account, its referrals, and unpaid commissions
- Your agent profile, featured spots, and messages sent to you through it, if you had one
Deletion is permanent. We can't restore an account or its data after it has been deleted.
What we keep, and for how long
- Server security logs that contain an IP address are deleted on their normal 30-day schedule.
- Error reports do not include your account or IP address and are deleted after at most 90 days.
- Emails you sent us are kept up to 24 months unless you ask us to delete them and we have no duty to keep them.
- Payment and tax records for any subscription or referral payout are kept for as long as Canadian tax law requires, and are not used for anything else.
- Backups of our database may hold your data for up to 30 days after deletion, until they are overwritten.
